Fire Safety Today

We had a special visit today from Chief McCarren and his firefighters.  We reviewed basic fire safety rules:  1.  Have a working smoke detector and check it often.   2.  Have a meeting place for your family in case of a fire and practice this with home drills.  3.  If there is a fire, stay low and let the firefighters know you are there.  4.  If your clothes are on fire, STOP, DROP AND ROLL.

Please take a few minutes to make sure your child can recite their home address and phone number.

We sure enjoyed a trip to the fire truck, where we learned that you need good math skills to operate a lot of the truck's dials.  Thanks to the firefighters for our fun bags and hats too!
