National Poetry Month

We began to celebrate poetry in style this week in both reading and writing workshop.  Students were so excited to write their own poems!  Mornings were spent reading a variety of poems from our class collection and afternoons were spent trying our hands at our own creations.  We learned that poets look at the world with their eyes and their hearts!
