Retelling

We finished our 2nd week of working on the comprehension strategy of retelling a story.  This week students practiced retelling a book they read themselves.  They used an organizer to help them sequence the stories events.
This group works on retells with books they chose and read themselves.

Our anchor chart to help us remember the important features of a strong retell is surrounded by examples of our independent retells.
