Our opinion writing unit has continued as we strengthen our ability to write quality book recommendations. We are practicing ways to create stronger letters. We have learned several methods to uncover the opinions we want to share about a special book. This could be commenting on the characters, a favorite part, the illustrations or cover. We are building our confidence with supporting our opinions with detailed reasons. The kids are excited to write letters to their friends recommending great books. This is a really nice connection between reading and writing time.
