Highlights of the Week

We did more measuring with partners of arm spans, wrist and head measurements and height.

During math students worked with their own set of shape cards to sort and categorize the 2-D shapes.

We recorded our sorts in our math journal.

Each group presented their transportation mural to the class.  TRAINS!

SHIPS

The Stagecoach

Cars

We added to our anchor chart some new ways that we can make our book recommendation letters stronger.

The 4th Grade Arcade was a big hit on Friday afternoon.

Students tried all the games and had a great time.

We are LOVING our new read aloud.  The kids are entranced with the main characters, Marco and Polo, and their exciting adventures.

We continue to write book recommendation letters about books we love.  Students get to choose the books they write about and who they write to.  They are writing letters with a lot of details about story elements and their opinions about the book.
