Both classes have begun the wonderfully entertaining read aloud, The Grand Escape by award-winning author, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. In this 4-book series we meet a cast of cats who have many adventures and escapades as they navigate their first taste of freedom. The kids are enthralled with our daily reading and the books are full of high level vocabulary and many moments where students get to practice making inferences and drawing conclusions.
