We took some writing workshop time this week to focus on editing our book letters. Looking at some student samples led us to the realization that readers have an easier time with reading our work when these things are in place:
neat handwriting, good spacing, careful spelling, capitalization and periods. Second graders were tough critics! It takes a lot of practice to edit our own pieces so we devoted lots of effort to that. We want people to be able to easily read our letters.
