Highlights of the Week

Thinking about examples of push/pull on the playground
Reading with 4th Grade Buddies

Celebrating National Picture Book Month with Buddy Reading
New month?  New books on display!

Practicing telling time with our tool-kit mini clocks!

Experimenting with pushing different objects

We kept data about our force experiment.

We found a new and challenging fitness section on Go Noodle - it was hard but got our bodies moving and blood pumping.

Ms. Luchies presented us with a special picture book for reading 1,450 picture books as a class this month!

We used base 10 block drawings to represent 3 digit numbers and practice place value concepts.

We LOVED this issue about caves under the Earth.  Fascinating and lots of good practice going back to the text to find information during our follow-up work.

Another experiment - this time on gravity!

Our anchor chart to help us with our reading workshop learning

Student samples of thinking about how characters react to challenges in stories

Proud All About Authors

We wrote conclusions about our All About Books

We wrote introductions to our books as well.

Students wrote detailed sections and added illustrations.

Labeled diagrams like this one were a big part of our books.

Students taught their readers about many interesting topics.

Sharing All About Books with friends - a mini writing celebration

Pretzels and All About Books - a great combination!
