Highlights of the Week

Mrs. Devin had an array of fun materials for us during art class

Proud artist

Exploring the materials

Waiting to perform in the cafeteria before the play

Adorable and ready to sing!

Our Scholastic News issue this week focused on evergreen trees

In math we analyzed and sorted subtraction problems by efficient strategies we could use to solve them

Students work in teams to measure a crooked path with measuring tapes.

This team measured and then double checked each measurement for accuracy.

In reading workshop we read a variety of holiday books and discussed various traditions and customs.

Students kept a record of their crooked path measurement work.

We had a guest speaker in Guidance, Heidi, from the Cromwell Center.

Heidi taught us about disabilities.

She left us with this poster that reminds us "It's OK to be the same AND  It's OK to be different."

Students wrote about ways that they show kindness to others.

Mrs. Buchan made a special visit on Friday to sing us an annual favorite story song with us.

We s learned to revise the conclusions to our experiments.
