Highlights of the Week

Working with a partner to solve a problem about equal shares.

These students are working on final drafts for their blue jay reports late in the week.

We used the notes we took on a graphic organizer to help write our reports.

Mrs. Buchan always ends guidance class with a fun song - the kids love it!

Putting the finishing touches on our blue jay covers.

Doing careful drawings of a blue jay for our pop up book.

Hard at work creating quality products!

In math we used our pattern block templates to help us divide shapes into equal parts.

We loved reading about the caiman!

Final blue jay pop ups

An up close version - each child made a quality product this week!

Our organizer for taking notes on key bird features

Rough drafts were edited with Mrs. Pols before students wrote their neat, final copy.

We took time to practice drawing a blue jay throughout the week.

On Monday we each got a packet to help us learn about the blue jay.

This tool helps us analyze a bird's feet - the other side has beak varieties.
