Examining a tiny owl skull |
Emma had us use our hands around our ears as we listened to owl calls so we could see how it magnifies the sound. |
We met our tiniest owl visitor, Athena, a saw-whet owl. |
The kids enjoyed being able to see owl pellet specimens. |
Byron was a big hit. Emma showed us how fluffy his feathers are by making her finger almost "disappear" in them. |
After the talk we had time to explore artifacts. |
It was fun to try on the owl vision glasses! |
By Friday each student had a written report about owls. |

We had research packets and took notes on our graphic organizer again. Lots of good note-taking learning is happening! |
We made it a point to soak in some of the extra sunshine this week. Lots of cheer and happiness on the playground with our wonderful class. |
