First Week

Here are a few pictures from our first real week together.

Decorating our narrative writing folder coverts o reflect important things to us that might make good topics for writing.

We had our first VAT (Visual Arts Training) with Mrs. Devin on Wednesday.  Students made numerous observations about the piece of art they were studying.

Using slates to practice making tally marks

We had the swings to ourselves at a morning recess!

This mathematician is hard at work on his part of our class number scroll - which went up to 1,000 - completed in one math session!

Students played the number grid game to build number sense and practice using the number grid to add efficiently.

On our way to recess we practiced our "door manners," holding the door for the classmate behind you.
