Highlights of the Week

Students worked on their owl report covers.  When students were experts in part of a project (i.e. making the cover), they helped others get theirs ready.

After researching owls and writing our reports we practiced drawing realistic owls.

At the beginning of the week students were in various stages of completing their blue jay projects.

Going from rough draft to final draft is a new skill we are working on.

During math we worked on regrouping numbers with base 10 blocks.

We learned to measure to the nearest half inch.

We began to learn how to do subtraction with regrouping.

A final owl project and its proud owner

These kiddos are working on loon research.

We used several texts, videos and books to gather information about loons.

It was hot Friday!

Playing Gaga at recess.
