Highlights of the Week

Every day we do shared reading of a new poem and collect them in our poetry binders.  We had fun rereading old poems with friends!

This author works on fancying up her book to get it ready to share at our writer's celebration.

Going back to add capitals and punctuations is one  important job we worked on.

This week we learned "Salute."  It's a fun math game to help us practice math facts and the strategy of counting up or back to a number.

Our class performed at the Veterans Day Assembly.

Moments before releasing our beetles you can see that we raised MANY darkling beetles.

We each carried our own beetles out to the field.

Students said goodbye to their beetles.

Taking care to gently find the beetles the perfect place.

In PE we played a fun game.  Lots of running, red cheeks and happy faces!

We are practicing calendar skills to start math every day.

We read our Scholastic News magazine about how veterans and how a whole army family pitches in to do their part.

Snacking and sharing our stories at our Author's Celebration.
