Highlights of the Week

We got into groups of three to measure our arm spans.

We took turns doing standing long jump, measured our distances and recorded our data.

The measuring team in action!

This group is planning their transportation mural before art class.

This group was discussing how they would organize their mural.

In art class Mrs. Devin helped us do our sketches on our transportation murals.

Mrs. Fisher read us the Chickadee nominee, The Water Princess, and we had a great conversation about how people in other parts of the world may not have the same access to water that we do.

We graphed our arm span data in a sticky note bar graph.

Before creating a line plot and a pictograph, we made a tally chart of our data.

Mr. Libby read Memoirs of a Parrot to us - it was our final Chickadee nominee and it came in second place school-wide.

This student is adding her fact to our transportation Padlet.  We learned a new technology skill this week and each learned how to add our thoughts to a class Padlet.

We could see our classmates adding their thoughts to the Padlet on the board as we typed!

Partners measured foot length….

and around our heads!

More data collection - we collected information on our favorite fruits and made a picture graph!
