In math we began our unit on fractions. Students are gaining experience with halves, thirds and fourths; what those fractions look like, how to write them and represent them, and how to say them. Many hands-on-activities are being done right now to build our understanding of fractions; folding, cutting, shading, and sorting. We are also working on identifying fractions of a set or collection.
