Highlights of the Week

Students explore the large map of Woolwich as part of our integrated mini-expedition:  The History of Transportation in Woolwich

Using magnifying glasses we located roads and bodies of water.

Students used personal Woolwich maps to find bordering towns/cities.

Mrs. Devin fired our clay pieces in her kiln; this week we glazed them!

After reading a text called "Why Did Early Settlers Travel?" students filled out exit slips to tell what they learned.

We finished our beloved "The Grand Escape."  Students completed book projects about the book.

This week's Scholastic News about Ireland and castle life was a big hit!

This anchor chart helps us remember what to add when we write book recommendation letters.

The students helped create this list so they could use clear "story words" as they write with details about books.
