Highlights of the Week

We played Basketball Addition on Monday to practice adding with multiple addends.  First time Mrs. Pols has ever seen a tie!

This transportation group proudly showed off all the facts they've collected on ships and boats.

This group is hard at work researching horse carts and wagons.

We found out that measuring the length of the room in second graders is fun but not as accurate as using a standard measure like yards or meters.

As we finished our opinion writing unit we learned how important it is to talk to your audience when you write.

At the end of PE class Mrs. Harrington had us check our pulse and the kids discussed why exercise impacts their heart beat.

As we concluded the fabulous first book in the Cat Pack series, we took some time to reflect on our favorite cat character and their antics.

We practiced estimating and measuring the width of the door in centimeters and inches.

Students searched the room for personal reference objects to help them remember how big an inch, a foot, a yard is.

As the class who brought in the most boxtops (thank you, families!) we had the liberty of silly stringing Mr. Libby.

We took our job quite seriously!
