Highlights of the Week

Teams of 3 took turns measuring our standing long jump data in math.

We used meter sticks and tape measures to measure the length of each students' two jumps.

This group proudly shows of their planning sketch before art class.  They used their plan to draw their mural with Mrs. Devin.

Reading and responding to poetry

Sample poetry responses

Checking out the ceiling as part of a poetry writing exercise!

Partners worked together to measure each other's height, head circumference and shoe length.

We also collected arm span data to record, tally and graph.

We made a graph of our standing long jump data and analyzed it.

Working to color in our mural drawings in teams.

Our class is full of poets!

This student experimented with a shape poem!

The whole class made hearts filled with notes to Mrs. Devin about why we love her as our art teacher.

The whole school gathered to honor Mrs. Devin, Elementary & Middle School Art Teacher of the Year.  We showed her over 370 hearts/notes from each student.  Later, in Westbrook, staff celebrated with her as she received the award.
