Highlights of the Week

Mr. John teaches us about lobsters.

We learn about how lobstermen use buoys.

We check out the innards and parts of a lobster trap.

We found out it was hard work to pull a trap up from the water.

These lobstermen and their crew are making their way to the traps.

The Co-Op Crew!

The kids worked in teams to pull the traps in and measure the lobsters in the trap.

Careful measuring to see if the lobster is big enough.

Here's my cute crew on the pirate ship.

We each cut out our own set of 2-D shapes, which we used to sort into different categories.

Partners measured wrists, heads, ankles and feet with tape measures.

We got outside for extra recess a lot this week to feel that sun on our faces.  This group is into 4-Ssquare!

As part of the Unit 7 assessment, students had to solve a challenging open response problem.

We compared and contrasted all week in reading workshop.  In this activity we analyzed the two main characters in our current read aloud series.
