Highlights of the Week

Students wrote observations about 2-D shapes with terms like sides, angles and vertices.

We learned to play "Shape Capture," which helps us look at a shape's attributes.

Reading fairy tales with a pal.

Each student got a special book to publish their collection of poems in.

Second graders put lots of time into their poetry book covers.

Mr. Forrester came to do a fun presentation on Thursday.

He brought frogs!

He taught us about frogs and answered our questions.

This group plans out a 2-D shape made of straws.

Straw pentagon

This week in reading workshop we focused on identifying patters in fairy tales.

Our 3-D shape museum

We wrote a class poem about Eat the Rainbow Week.  It starts Monday!

Lots of fairy tales to read on our book display this week!
