A Visit with the Bugmobile!

Today an educator from Chewonki joined us in the forum for an hour of learning and fun about Arthropods.  We found out all the animals that fit under that classification and what makes them different from each other.  It was fascinating to learn about their adaptations and get to see many real, live arthropods.  We saw a millipede, hissing cockroaches, a crayfish, a tarantula, and a giant walking stick.  We also got to view many related artifacts.  It was especially fun to watch two students dress up as particular arthropods.  A huge thank you to the PTA for funding this great opportunity for our second grade students!
