Freedom for our Darkling Beetles

Today we brought our class culture of darkling beetles out into their natural environment.  We walked around the track and gently placed them all on the edge of the field by the woods.  As you can see, we took some time to wave goodbye to our friends, who have been with us since the second week of 2nd grade.  Raising the mealworms helped us really understand their life cycle.
