Highlights of the Week

This group is playing a fun game called "Flip" where you flip words from a short vowel to a long vowel word like "cut" to "cute."

We explored Caldecott books with Ms. Luchies in library again this week.

Partnerships read and examined each book and recorded their opinions about the books.

We discovered we loved reading biographies!

Students revised their catapults to conduct a final experiment.

We are teaming up with Mr. Shea's 6th grade for a special project.  The 6th graders are going to write stories based on topics chosen by 2nd graders.  They wrote to tell us their plans and get ideas and questions from us.  We wrote back with our thoughts Friday afternoon.  We will illustrate the books when they are done!

Eat the Rainbow Week is coming next week.  This poster shows the color of each day in case kids want to dress for it!
