Week 4 Highlights

Students are getting to have quite a few stories in their narrative writing folders!

We worked on story maps in reading workshop again this week!

The whole school earned a popsicle treat Friday for earning so many Woolwich Wow tickets for walking the Woolwich Way!

We began to learn how to use sticky notes while we read to mark parts we want to talk about.

We drew week 3 observations of our mealworms.  We each had some shedded skin in our containers to keep as an artifact.

As we learn the anatomy of an insect we practiced doing careful, realistic drawings with labels.

The popsicles get delivered by Mr. Libby and Mrs. Willette.

We are getting good at stretching down a page with details as we write.

Students during DEAR time marking their thinking on sticky notes.....

In math we built base 10 buildings and counted them up!

We sorted dominoes to help us practice math facts.

We used insect cards to help us practice realistic drawing.

Proud architect!

We also learned how to tile a surface with smaller shapes.
